The Tourlitis Lighthouse

Chora Andros: what an amazing place to hang out for a week. This is a bit of a different view of the lighthouse.

Andros

February 01, 2018

This was one of the few different places that I took pictures of the lighthouse from - you can also check out the extended exposure I captured in the main gallery here.

Below is the stone bridge, and the only way by land to get to the castle ruins at the tip of Chora. The x’s on the ground in front of the bridge are from the sun shining through the railing on the platform above and behind the camera.

Below - another close-up of water breaking. I took both this one and the one at the top of the page at the secluded (as in a bit of a walk to get to and never very busy) beach bar we hung out at on a few different afternoons. The ‘waves’ breaking in both pictures are only a few centimetres tall, so I had my camera almost right on the ground to get these. Unfortunately though, the autofocus on my camera is not great and it’s not a function that I often use, so they didn’t come out as well as I had hoped.
